Locally, this Sunday, April 14th from 2:30 to 3:30, we have the joy of bringing together some true builders of community. Chef John Howie steps out of his restaurants and into the magnificent Molbak’s Garden + Home store for a lively demonstration on ways you can enhance the flavors of your freshly-grown vegetables. John will share ways to create a perfect vinaigrette and simple, distinctive dressings for your salads. You will sample his flavorful and versatile Farmers Market Vegetable Barley Soup with Herbs, and top it off with a sweet surprise!
Whether you have a large garden or a deck, discover how easy it is to grow your own herbs or a selection of your favorite vegetables. At harvest time, treat yourself, your family and friends with John’s tips to simply enjoy the best of the season. Following the demonstration and tastes, John will sign his book, Passion & Palate: Recipes for a Generous Table, for you or a loved one.
